Our Board
As a co-operative program we are still required to have a Board of Directors. Our board is all volunteer and is made up of current parents of children in our program. The board aids in the daily planning of how the program runs, organizes fundraising events and plans for the future of the preschool.
We Are A Co-operative Program
Mapleton Preschool is a co-operative program whereby parents are expected to be actively involved. As your child’s parent or guardian, you know your child best. As such, we value your ideas and knowledge of your child and believe in working in partnership with you. Your involvement in the program can be done through sharing a special interest, talent, or family tradition, providing parental advice, suggestions, and fundraising activities as outlined in this package, and by attending general meetings. This partnership between home and child care will help us to meet the individual needs of your child. This process begins even before your child starts in our program.

Laci Karley
ECE, Supervisor
Hi, my name is Laci. I graduated from Conestoga College in 2010, and then moved to Australia for a year to work as an Aupair. When I returned to Canada, I started working at Owl Childcare.
I worked there for almost 4 years and got to work with every age group from toddlers to school agers! I have been working with the WRDSB since the fall of 2014.
In September 2019 I became a mother to my beautiful daughter Savannah!
Cheryl Ewart

Hi, my name is Cheryl. I'm a mother to two beautiful children and one fur baby. In my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking and I love to cook. The first ten years of my career I spent working as a early childhood educator in licensed childcare settings. After having my first child I opened up my own home daycare and have been doing that for the past nine years. I'm very excited to be back in the preschool environment and building new relationships.
